These are some photos I took for Tifany Lee's second album, Big Bad World.
I usually don't shoot that dark, especially with weddings, but it was a nice change.

This is a picture that has survived from my school days.
I know it looks "studenty" to other photographers. That's because it is.
I messed with multiple exposures on a single frame of medium format film.
There is no digital editing whatsoever in this image. I used a flash to make the stars.
That's why they're so uneven.

Let's jump into the way back machine. Well, not too far back.
This is a picture of me when I had long hair was was going to photography school.
For those interested, I went to Portfolio Center in Atlanta, GA.

At 4:00PM EST July 31st 2003 Big Day Photography was born.

It was originally called Weddings by Rafael and the first wedding posted was my best friend from high school's wedding, Linda.

That was where I fell in love with wedding photography.

I'd like to thank all the clients and vendors that has helped Big Day grow and be the company it is today.

Wednesday night I joined in on a poker night with other wedding photographers.
Chris Torres from 6 of Four Creations hosted the evening at his studio.
Thanks Chris.

These are rare moments since it's a super busy time for us all.
Mark Adams from LaCour won the pot and I came in second.

My goal this week is to have all four weddings from the past two weeks online.
It's quite a feat considering the wedding from Spartanburg, SC contains the most pictures ever taken in the history of the company.

I also photographed a folklorico troop.
It was lots of fun and colorful. Every kid looked really happy in their outfits.

The wedding was in San Antonio and a great time.

Jessica, from Sublime Photography, was hired to photograph and did an amazing job coordinating and documenting the whole thing. It's very impressive watching her work.

Linda stopped by to join us for a quick Day After shoot in San Antonio.
She is purely a natural light photographer and works great with kids too.

I'm always amazed with her talent for scouting locations!
She found this pink background that worked so well.
